The Proteus Pergolas - Grey is perfect for adding a stylish, covered area to your outdoor space. Made from aluminium leg poles and horizontal framework as well as galvanised steel louvres, this stunning pergola is ideal for long-term use. The design is UV protected and therefore resistant to fading and other damage typically caused by heat, plus it protects you and your family from harmful UV rays as well as corrosion resistant. This pergola is the perfect opportunity to extend your outdoor season. Thanks to the tilting louvres, you can switch between a closed, sheltered space, and an open top to allow sunlight to come flooding in. This means that you can use your outdoor area even when the weather is less than perfect. This pergola ultimately allows you to choose between sitting in sunshine or shade, and provides shelter should it start to rain at a moment's notice - typical of British weather! There is a brilliant built-in drainage system which prevents you from having to open the louvred roof to let water drain. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, the water flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, the rainwater will then flow into the inside of the hollow pergola legs and vertically down to the ground. This genius system means that you'll never see the water draining off of the pergola. If you were to open the louvres when wet, the U-shaped channels prevent rainwater from dripping under the sheltered area, and getting your garden furniture wet Our weather ready pergolas offer you a sheltered option for you and your garden furniture to stay dry in rainy conditions. However, in heavy downpours, there's always a chance your pergola may leak. Just as you would with your house, we ask you to check the pergola gutters are free of debris to keep the pergola in good condition. This pergola will require assembly and we recommend 2-3 people are required to safely lift and assemble the pergola. The build time is approx 2 hours and should be positioned on a solid and hard surface, like concrete bases. In order for the drainage system to do its job, the pergola should be secured to a patio that has a gradual decline. Most patios would natually have this, in order for rain water to flow away from the house. Please ensure the pergola legs are securely bolted to the floor using the holes within each leg base plate, and secured using the expansion bolts which are supplied as standard. Our pergolas do not require planning permission. However, if you are unsure we always recommend contacting your Local Planning Office. If you plan to match this pergola to existing aluminium furniture, the RAL colour code is 7015. For small items i.e. accessories, we will ship your order via a parcel courier, but for larger items i.e. furniture, we will send on a palletised delivery. This palletised delivery can not be taken through to your garden and will be delivered to the nearest hard-standing surface which could be a driveway or kerbside. Please note, we are not currently delivering to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Returns Information: We understand that sometimes things aren't right and you may need to return something. If you have ordered and received an item that you no longer require, you have 14 calendar days to notify us that you wish to return it. You then have a further 14 calendar days to ensure the returned item is received by us. It is important that any items you return are in perfect condition with their undamaged original packaging in order to receive a refund. Before you return the item you must notify us of the reason for your return so that we can raise a Returns Authorization Form on your behalf. Failure to notify us could result in a delay in refunding the goods.
