Our Vacation Social 7 person Hot Tub is from our Commercial series of spas that offer stylish spas with the robustness required for the Holiday Let market. All Commercial models offer HSG282 compliance with dedicated Circulation pumps, In-line Chemical dosing and no water feature to potentially cause a plumbing dead leg. In addition, our Commercial Series are also designed to make your life easier as the spa owner with a Simplified Control Panel for your guests to use meaning no risk of them changing the spa temperature, or filter cycles. Under the locked side hatch is where the main Control Panel is located where you can set the temperature & filter cycles as well as accessing the large capacity inline chemical dosing hopper. We have also omitted from the spa topside Divertors and air Controls so there is no risk of a heavy handed guest breaking a control putting the spa out of action. Head Pillows are also omitted as these are a consumable item not required within the let market. Finally we have fitted the Commercial Series with a high flow drain valve to enable a quicker drain and refill time on changeover days.
The Vacation Socials’s dimensions are: 2000mm x 2000mm x 800mm which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This hot tub uses a Balboa control system and comes with a thick nordic insulated cover, robust steps that offer your guests easy access & egress, large LED Footwell light & illuminated Platinum Badge. Inside the spa you have 7 seating positions made up of 3 deep corner chairs offering vigorous back massage & neck massage. There are then 3 cool down seats allowing you to sit slightly out of the water to cool off whilst still enjoying light massage to your back. Finally there is a large wide step in point that doubles as a 7th seating position. This step provides a confident entry point for those with mobility issues but also provides a location for shorter bathers and children to sit comfortably. The Warm Grey composite cabinet encloses the Platinum Premium Shield insulation system for lower running costs, tested & approved by the California Energy Commission (CEC) standards.
The Commercial Series models are pre-plumbed to accept an Air Source Heat pump which can offer lower running costs and faster heat up times. Like all our spa models, you can specify a Wifi Controller which enables you to pair the spa to the broadband at the property so that you can remotely control it. This can be advantageous if you wish to remotely lower the temperature when outgoing guests have left or indeed before incoming ones arrive.
The Vacation Social is available in 2 power setups, 13amp Plug & Play which is equipped with a 2kw Heater and will be configured to not heat when the massage pump is on. Alternatively you can have 32amp Hard Wired which will come with a larger 3kw heater and is configured to allowing Heating with the Massage pump running. Please talk to the sales team if you are unsure which set up is going to be best for you.

As a rule you should change your water every 3 to 4 months. Some times if the spa has had a lot of use it may be a good idea to change the water more often than this. The problem is TDS Total dissolved solids, just like a cup of tea if you keep putting in sugar there will come a time that it just does not dissolve. Same with a Hot tub if you keep adding chemicals to maintain the spa then there will come a time that it will be very hard to correct imbalances and it is best to just change the water.
Adding Ozone to the spa water after the heater as part of the circulation system is quite normal. The Ozone generator creates very high levels of ozone which in turn oxidises bacteria in the circulation system. If you do not have an Ozone system then you will use more sanitizer like Chlorine. Note UV Ozone system need to have a new bulb every year! CD ozone systems last longer but generally need changing every 5 years or so.
Hot tubs are made in many different ways using many different materials. The least expensive designs will cost about £5 a week to own, up to £30 for other designs. Why the huge difference?
Firstly, we must remember hot tub heaters vary considerably, from 1KW up to 6KW, and the volume of water to be heated varies, as does the mains water temperature from summer to winter. As an example, let’s look at a 300 gallon hot tub with a 1.5kW heater, with summer temperature mains water.
You have a choice for us to delivery or pick up yourself. Most Hot tubs are very heavy, so if you intend to move one yourself make sure you have plenty of help and good sledges/trailers to help move the spa. It is common to put a Hot tub on its side for moving but take care not to put it on the pumps side as the door on most Hot tubs are easily opened. Hire a trailer or flat bed to drive from one address to another if you do this yourself, most Hot tubs will not fit in a Luton or a Transit van. If in doubt arrange for us to deliver and install.
To install your hot tub, you only need to worry about three things: a solid, level area to stand it on, a power outlet, and a hose pipe to fill it up with. If you plan to sink the spa, there will be the added consideration of access to the component door for servicing, so do bear that in mind when planning and preparing your base. Always get full installation instructions from us, for specific advice on sinking the model you have purchased.
Planning permission is not normally required for items of a relocatable/temporary nature like a Hot tub or Swim Spa, however, if you live in an area of outstanding natural beauty, or listed property or a conservation area you please seek advice from your local council and planners before installing your pool or spa.
